where it all started in 1979
Advance Global was founded in 1979 in Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales — not as a general supplier, but as exhaust people. Exhaust systems and components were where we started, and where our technical reputation was first built.
Over the following decades, as our customers’ needs grew, so did our range — into safety and compliance equipment more broadly, across mining, transport and agriculture. We relocated our base to Parkes along the way, and what began as a single site expanded into a national footprint, with stock holdings now in Sydney, Perth and Mackay alongside our Parkes Manufacturing facility and head office.

Along the way, we noticed a pattern. The problems our customers came back to us with most — again and again — weren’t about signage or general safety stock. They were about heat and diesel emissions: engine-bay fires, exhaust failures, diesel particulate matter, and the growing weight of compliance around all of it.
Rather than continuing to be a generalist supplier trying to be everything to everyone, we made a deliberate choice: to become genuine specialists in thermal control and emissions management for heavy mobile equipment. It’s a narrower focus, but a deeper one — the kind that lets us actually solve the problem not just a supply a part
That specialty now sits at the centre of everything we do, built around a simple methodology: Audit. Engineer. Supply. Maintain. We inspect the fleet, design a solution engineered for that specific machine — not a generic kit — supply and fit it from our national warehouse network, and keep it maintained for the life of the equipment through our Fleet Assurance Program.
