Meet the team – Wayne

What does a typical day look like in your job? I have been employed at Advance for 2 months now as the Warehouse Supervisor. A typical day for me revolves around the coordination of warehouse activities, managing incoming and outgoing freight to meet our customer’s requirements efficiently. I have also had the privilege to learn how to build pilot kits, install lagging and developing my skills in other areas of our growing business.

What are some of the highlights of your job? Working closely next to my brother Paul would have to be the main highlights. His knowledge and experience is nothing short of amazing in my eyes. Followed by the friendly, dedicated, and strong work culture which has been developed within the Advance family. They have all made me feel very welcome and a valued team member. I’m really looking forward to growing with the business over time and learning new skills.

Tell us a bit about yourself…I’m 40 years young, born and raised in Parkes and I’m a proud father of 3 awesome children. I have worked in the Mining & Construction industry for 20 years within this time I had the opportunity to work at a local mine which really developed my skills within logistics, Business Improvement and managing small projects. I’m very passionate about Mental Health and live every day to its fullest potential.
