What does a typical day look like in your job?

My day begins with reviewing what quotes are live in the system. This includes checking how many were sent out the day before and which ones are due to be followed up. This helps to determine what orders we might expect to see coming through so we can forecast and prepare for them better. I then spend the rest of the morning talking to clients and potential customers. I also provide quotes and ETAs on stock, taking orders and anything else related to customer service. I like to spend the afternoons working on something creative such as improving a system or working on whatever the next big project is. Occasionally I will assist with packing/ checking orders and helping wherever it’s needed.

What are some of the highlights of your job?

Working with the team here is always a pleasure. Everyone values a very high standard of work yet always remembers to have fun and have a laugh. Learning new skills is also a big highlight.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I have lived in Parkes nearly all my life after the family moved out here in 2003. At the beginning of July this year, I joined the Advance team. I am now the third generation to work in our family business. My favourite food is a Steak Sandwich. I support the Penrith Panthers NRL Team. In my spare time ( If I ever find any) I enjoy tinkering around with my old FJ45 Landcruiser.
