Fire Resistant Anti-Static Spiral Wrap

FRAS (Fire-Resistant Anti-Static) Hydraulic Hose Spiral Wrap protects hydraulic lines against abrasion, cuts, crushing, UV and various hazards which can destroy expensive hose and cable assemblies and cause output to suffer due to downtime. Gadi Hose Protection has a wide range of hydraulic hose spiral wraps. It can be colour-coded for aesthetics and in some applications for ease of identification.

Fire Resistant Anti-Static (FRAS) Spiral Wrap is produced from a conductive thermoplastic compound on a polyethylene base. A special conductive carbon black is used for conductivity. In addition to being flame retardant, these wraps are designed to have low electrical resistance, helping to prevent hydraulic hose and cable bundles from building up an electrical charge. Tested to: AS 2600, AS 1180.10B, AS 1180.13A and MSHA # IC-264/0 standards.

How long do hydraulic hoses last? Answers vary on the treatment of the machine and hoses. Machines regularly maintained and looked after whilst operating can have hydraulic hoses lasting over two years (on average). If the machine is in a rougher environment then the hydraulic hose may last up to 1-2 years.
