Nicky’s job role: Sewing Technician

What does a typical day look like in your job?

I start each work day by greeting my supervisor and seeing what the day has in store.

As a sewing technician, most of my day is spent behind a sewing machine making Thermal Insulation Blankets.

What are some highlights of your job?

I’m discovering new highlights of my job all the time. But mostly I love the family-friendly atmosphere.

I also enjoy that I am constantly learning new aspects of the manufacturing side of the business.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m extremely creative, I spend all of my downtime creating and designing all kinds of sewing and crafted items.

My husband of 23 years and I have five children which are our whole world.
